What Sets The Ballet School of San Francisco Apart…

We offer every student the opportunity to receive direct, individual instruction from some of the Bay Area’s finest teachers. Whether a student is working towards a professional career, looking to dance in college, recovering from injury, or simply wants to experience the joy of dance, our program allows dancers to continue to benefit from attending regular high school, without having to leave before its completion. Upon graduating from DTC, our students are prepared for any path they choose.

Directors

  • Julianne Spratlin

    Founder + Artistic Director

    A former Joffrey and Atlanta Ballet Principal Dancer, Julianne founded DTCSF in 2014 recognizing the need for the highest quality studio with individualized training. She teaches all levels and overseas the entire Ballet School.

  • Kristin Long

    Associate Artistic Director

    Kristin is a former San Francisco Ballet Principal Dancer. As well as teaching in the Ballet School, she is now Director of the Ballet Prelude Studio Company, which trains young dancers in classical technique, exposing them to varied repertoire and performance opportunities.

  • Samantha Clark

    Associate Artistic Director

    Bay Area native Samantha danced with Oakland Ballet, Northern Ballet Theater, and the Met Opera Ballet. She teaches all levels in The Ballet School.
