Attire
DTC/SF requires uniforms for each level. You are notified upon completion of registration which leotard color corresponds with the dancer’s level; either tights matching the dancer’s skin tone or pink tights; soft ballet slippers should match the dancer’s tights. Pointe shoes are worn upon instructor approval and should also match the dancer’s tights. Hair for all dancers must be neatly pulled back from the face into a bun or other hairstyle that remains contained for the duration of the class (example: high or low bun, braids pulled into a ponytail and contained in a hairnet, puff pigtails, etc.). Small jewelry is allowed provided it does not interfere with movement or focus.
Special Accommodations for Different Abilities
We strive to help all dancers learn classical ballet technique. Please let us know when you register if there are any special considerations for your dancer that will help them learn at their most comfortable and confident.
